Amon G. Carter Stadium (Football)

The 2012-2013 football season opened to a newly renovated Amon G. Carter Stadium, offering an enhanced game day experience for football fans and a seating capacity of 43,000. Originally built in 1930 with a capacity of around 10,000, the stadium was enlarged in 1947, and the upper deck was added in 1956. The field has been home turf for football legends "Slingin' Sammy" Baugh, Davey O'Brien, Jim Swink, Bob Lilly and LaDainian Tomlinson. The stadium is named for Amon G. Carter, legendary publisher of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and strong supporter of TCU athletics.
