The Office of the Chancellor provides administrative, organizational, strategic and compliance services to advance the University’s vision, values and strategic direction. The Role of a Chancellor The Chancellor is the chief executive officer of the University and is elected by the Board of Trustees. He is charged with the operation of the institution under and in accordance with policies established by the Board. Specifically, the Chancellor: Recommends policies and overall plans to the BoardAssists in developing the Board of Trustee decisionsMakes reports and recommendationsReceives recommendations and appoints or delegates appointments of faculty and other key personnelRepresents the University in educational and other organizationsAssists in fundraising and in representing the University to the public
