The Provost & Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs is the chief academic officer of the University and is required to plan, coordinate and improve all the various academic programs offered by the University. He is a senior member of the Chancellor’s staff and acts for the Chancellor in his absence. He convenes and chairs meetings of the Provost’s Council and University Council and undertakes special assignments at the request of the Chancellor. The Provost has primary responsibility for coordination of planning, policy, development, assessment and overall management of the divisions of academic affairs and information technology.
