This session focuses on how to communicate productively when leading a difficult conversation. Participants will learn coach-centered communication skills, methods to recognize and master their personal stories, and a framework to follow up conversations. This interactive session includes opportunities to practice with common scenarios.

CoreStrengths Level 1 (formerly SDI) 2-Day Workshop
TCU’s workforce is more diverse than ever making it critical to understand how different outlooks impact our everyday interactions. This virtual session serves to help build your relationship intelligence (RQ) by exploring motives and values that drive behaviors (strengths and overdone strengths) to better understand yourself and others. This understanding of ‘Results through Relationships’ can help you lead with clarity, build strong teams and better manage conflict.
Core Strengths (formerly Total SDI) is the new online platform that empowers your ongoing application of RQ. It engages the learner with real-time assessment results, access to new resources, and tools to build your network of stronger teams to reflect the many ways we work together at TCU.

Intentional Dialogue Training Level 1
Discover opportunities for meaningful dialogue among diverse members of the TCU campus as we strive to build a more inclusive, connected, and vibrant community. Become equipped with the ability and skills necessary to strengthen self-awareness and empathy to effectively communicate personal viewpoints across areas of difference.
This training session requires a minimum of 8 participants in order to complete course work successfully. If it becomes necessary for you to cancel from the session, please email HRTraining@tcu.edu 48 hours prior to the scheduled training session.

This session will focus on the concept of microaggressions. Specifically, the concept will be defined and explained utilizing relevant research and findings. The different microaggression subtypes will be identified and delineated in order to help participants identify when a microaggression is being communicated. Participants will also content related to the psychological, behavioral and cognitive impact of microaggressions on an individual. Finally, explicit instruction on how to interrupt microaggressions will be provided using a variety of strategies and interactive opportunities.
