3rd Annual Black Women's History Forum
CRES & WGST are proud to present the 3rd Annual Black Women's History Forum. Please join us for Dr. Gloria House's talk, "Voting Rights and Black Power: A Personal Journey from SNCC to Detroit" - Dr. House (aka Aneb Kgositsile) is a veteran of the Civil Rights Movement who organized for voting rights in Lowndes County and other parts of Alabama as a member of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. This experience in the movement provided a foundation for a career in higher education, poetry, and community organizing based in Detroit. In 2019, House received the prestigious Eminent Artist Award from the Kresge Foundation.
