The Complete Chopin Nocturnes
Australian pianist Piers Lane is renowned for his versatile artistry in solo, chamber, and concerto repertoire. He has been a soloist five times at the BBC Proms. Known for his extensive concerto repertoire, Lane performs globally with top orchestras and conductors like Sir Andrew Davis and Vassily Sinaisky. Recent highlights include Wigmore Hall recitals, Carnegie Hall concerto performances, and the New York premiere of Ries’s Piano Concerto No. 8.

Lane has directed the Sydney International Piano Competition since 2015, creating initiatives such as the 2021 Online Competition. His collaborations with violinist Tasmin Little and the Goldner String Quartet have shaped his career. His acclaimed recordings for Hyperion span rare romantic concertos and Scriabin’s works. Former Artistic Director of the Australian Festival of Chamber Music, Lane was awarded Officer of the Order of Australia and holds honorary doctorates from Griffith and James Cook Universities.
