Active Learning 101: Learner-Centered Teaching
As instructors, we play a crucial role in helping students learn and develop skills needed to be personally and professionally successful in a diverse world. Active Learning 101 is a professional development workshop that 1) provides an overview of active pedagogy, 2) explains the logistics of teaching in a Learner-Centered classroom, and 3) offers resources and strategies for implementing this pedagogy in your courses at TCU. This workshop will introduce active-learning strategies that instructors can use to help foster student learning. The strategies also help build inclusiveness, respect for individuals, and tolerance.
This workshop meets Koehler Center Outcomes 1.1, 1.2, and 2.1
