From the Center for Texas Studies at TCU and Extended Education: Using the last Kiowa Raid as a touchstone, Dr. Dawn Youngblood will immerse students in the lives and history of the Kiowa. You will learn how they differed from the Comanche and discover the secret life of a Kiowa captive taken as a baby girl from the family farm on the West Fork of the Trinity River in 1867 who is honored by the Kiowa for her bravery and tenacity to this day. Dr. Youngblood will bring her varied background in archeology, archives, preservation, and history to this fascinating study of Native American history. The course fee is $74. Discounts are available to seniors and TCU faculty, staff, and students. Register
