Bella Jones: Come If You Want

The Art Galleries at TCU presentsCome If You Want, Bella Jones’ MFA Thesis Exhibition. Come If You Want will be on view at Moudy Gallery from April 8 - 12, 2019, with an opening reception on Monday, April 8th, from 5-7pm.

Come If You Want examines the body and sexuality in relation to gender politics. The exhibition includes paintings, animation and an installation. Taboo imagery of the body and certain sexual acts sophomorically amuse the viewer and bridge the gap between their uncomfortableness and understanding of human desire.

Bella Jones (Manchester, U.K, b.1994) holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from Manchester Metropolitan University and is currently in the process of obtaining her Master of Fine Arts from Texas Christian University. She has exhibited her work in both the U.K. and the U.S. and currently resides between Manchester and Fort Worth, TX. Jones is a multidisciplinary artist with a strong emphasis in drawing and 2D work. Her practice explores the commonplace narratives that surround the body and human sexuality, especially female. Using hypnagogic imagery Jones aims to create dreamscapes where female sensuality thrives in an uncorrupted way.
