CDEx Coding Club
We’re also thrilled to announce the return of the CDEx Coding Club. Our first meeting of the Spring 2020 semester will be Friday, February 28 from 12-2 in Schar 2003.
As in past semesters, we’re open everyone, so, you got it: No Experience Necessary! Whether you’re following along with short lessons and exercises on programming languages and concepts or “lone wolfing” it on that side project you’ve been meaning to finish, Coding Club is the place for you.
Please join us if:
- You’d like to get started with programming languages like Python or R
- You’re ready to explore the basics of web development using HTML and CSS
- You’ve got a class project underway but need a little more help with a coding component
- You think coding might enhance a research or scholarly project
During the first meeting, we’ll cover some basic scripting in Python, a common language used for development and analysis tasks. Attendees are more than welcome to participate or to work on their own project. Coding Club merely aims to provide space and time for all of us to build and grow together.
Think this might be fun and helpful? Then please join us on Friday, February 28, 2020 (from 12 to 2) to learn more with the CDEx Coding Club is all about. Seats are also limited, so please RSVP a.s.a.p. (https://cdex.tcu.edu/programs/signup/).
Questions? Let us know at email@example.com. Otherwise, hope to see you then & there!
