About this Event
2850 South University Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76109
Please join the History Department on October 6 for a remembrance service on the tenth anniversary of the death of Benjamin Whetstone Schmidt, a former history major and Marine who died in Afghanistan.
We will gather to reflect on his life and his legacy here at TCU, a legacy that includes the Dissertation Fellowship named in his memory, the LCpl. Benjamin W. Schmidt Professorship of War, Conflict, and Society in Twentieth-Century America, and the annual spring symposium focused on war, conflict, and society.
Benjamin left an indelible mark on the History Department and TCU, and we welcome you to join us as we reflect on his legacy. Please feel free to invite anyone who might be interested.
