Critical Drag Residency: Keynote Address at GRO Symposium

Drag is an art form with a rich history of challenging dominant norms of gender, race, and sexuality; resisting systems of power and privilege; and teaching young people/children about the beauty and value of gender diversity. Drag also has a troubling history of participating in racist and sexist discourse in ways that require critical attention and resistance. Critical Drag explores drag performance as an outlet for social critique, transnational gender justice, and queer pedagogy. Join us for the keynote of the Gender Resource Office Symposium for a lively conversation about the art of drag!
