​Since his arrival at TCU in 1982, political science professor James Riddlesperger has taught countless students about American politics. For his efforts, he was named TCU Honors Professor of the Year in 2012 and received the Chancellor’s Award for Creative Teaching and Research in 2017. He specializes in the presidency and Texas politics and has co-authored and edited several books on the subject including Lone Star Leaders: Power and Personality in the Texas Congressional Delegation and Special Focus: Balance of Power between Congress and the President. He is a frequent consultant to the news media concerning politics and elections.
