DESCRIPTION:This workshop (through the Branch Alliance for Educator Diversi
 ty) will allow faculty and staff to practice and prepare for real-life scen
 arios inside and outside the classroom.\n\nThis workshop will help faculty 
 and staff be able to address uncomfortable and inappropriate comments at th
 e moment to help cultivate a sense of belonging for all students and employ
 ees. \n\n \n\nREGISTRATION REQUIRED. This workshop is for Deans\, Departmen
 t Chairs\, and Directors.\n\nEach workshop only has space for 30 participan
 ts. Register here.\n\n \n\nAbout the Speakers\n\nDr. Patricia Alvarez McHat
 ton\, Ph.D.\, is BranchEd's Chief Program Officer. As Senior VP\, Dr. Alvar
 ez McHatton oversees all MSI Educator Preparation Program faculty- and lead
 er-facing programming\, including capacity building and professional learni
 ng initiatives. Previously\, Dr. Alvarez McHatton served as the founding de
 an for the College of Education and P-16 Integration at the University of T
 exas Rio Grande Valley\, where she led multiple initiatives to enhance educ
 ator preparation programs within the college\, expand the educator pipeline
  and cultivate and maintain strong\, collaborative partnerships with distri
 cts and members. She is the author of and contributor to over fifty reports
  and publications and has presented at numerous national and international 
 conferences. \n\n \n\nDr. Elizabeth Lisic\, Ph.D.\, serves as a Continuous 
 Improvement Coach supporting Educator Preparation Programs and their distri
 ct partners in BranchED's Transformation Center. Previously\, Dr. Lisic co-
 led the Center for Assessment and Improvement of Learning\, an educational 
 research lab at Tennessee Tech University focused on assessing and improvin
 g outcomes such as critical and creative thinking and real-world problem-so
 lving. She has extensive experience in program improvement\, evaluation and
  assessment\, professional development and quantitative research methods. D
 r. Lisic has presented at numerous conferences\, both nationally and intern
 ationally\, and contributed to numerous journals and special editions.
