Math Career Events Intro Meeting

This year all of the hiring events will take place virtually. That includes the actuarial hiring fair, the CSE Technology Fair, and the TCU Internship hiring events. We will also host events to help people prepare for the fairs and understand the rules and procedures. If you want to attend the actuarial hiring fair, you MUST attend a ZOOM talk that explains the rules and procedures. This ZOOM meeting will take place at 5PM on Sept. 2 and will be hosted by Gabriela Pineider.

After explaining the rules for the virtual fair, the zoom meeting will next feature a Resume Talk provided by Gabriela Pineider of Career Services. This talk will kick off the preparation of the annual Mathematics Resume Book.  Why should you submit a resume to the departmental book? The book is sent to all the actuarial companies before the fair and often used by Career Services to promote mathematics majors for non-actuarial job openings as well. Furthermore, students who submit a resume have a streamlined process for resubmission the following year and get advance emails about job openings.

This Zoom talk is also a Gamma Iota Sigma event! Come learn about how to join GIS, the actuarial student group.
