Fall 2020: New to TCU Faculty Virtual Orientation

Per the Faculty/Staff handbook, “New faculty members attend an orientation program provided by the Provost/ Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs through the Koehler Center for Instruction, Innovation, and Engagement prior to the beginning of classes in the fall and spring terms (as appropriate).” (p. 31)

New to TCU Faculty Orientation welcomes newly-hired instructors to the TCU community of teachers and scholars. Here you will learn important information about policies, procedures, services, and resources TCU offers to encourage your pedagogical development. Additionally, you will learn about expectations of the TCU community and become familiar with the TCU student population. This will be a 3-hour Zoom session.  (You will be emailed the Zoom link to join the session you choose 2 days before the date you have chosen.)

Orientation meets Koehler Center Outcomes 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 2.1, and 2.2.

I really appreciated the TCU Faculty Orientation. The trainers were fun and encouraging. The students that spoke did a great job sharing their views. Thanks for doing this. I wish it could have been in person, but I totally understand.
