Heather Inwood, Ph. D., is an Associate Professor of Modern Chinese Literature and Culture at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at Trinity Hall, Cambridge. She is the author of Verse Going Viral: China’s New Media Scenes (University of Washington Press, 2014) and is currently writing a book on Chinese internet fiction entitled Netfic: China’s Other World Literature. She is co-editor of the British Journal of Chinese Studies and has held positions at The Ohio State University and the University of Manchester. She received her MA from the University of Cambridge and her PhD from SOAS, the University of London, in 2008.
