PianoTexas Distinguished Artist Recital: Vincent Larderet
Vincent Larderet has attracted international recognition for the exceptional intensity of his performances and his highly acclaimed recordings including major world premieres of Debussy, Ravel and Schmitt works. Praised for his “very lyrical playing” (Crescendo Magazine) and his “multi-timbred” sound (Fanfare, USA), he “makes the piano equal to an orchestra” (Classica) with “fascinating pianistic colors” (PIANO News). Nominated for the "International Classical Music Awards", he is considered as one of the leading French pianists of his generation. Of great interest in this recital is the American Premiere of the Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé Suite originally written for orchestra but the composer transformed it into a piano work. For a long time, absent from concert programs, with authoritative revision, Larderet brought this great work back into the French repertoire.
