Stethoscope Stage 2022 is co-sponsored by Theatre TCU, TCU School of Medicine, TCU School of Music, and TCU College of Fine Arts.

This biannual national play festival is designed to facilitate communication and understanding between medical professionals and patients (members of the public). Taking place on April 9, 2022 from 7:30PM to 9:30PM in TCU's Pepsico Recital Hall, the first half of this event consists of a staged reading of select monologues and short plays written by people from the medical community and the general public on the theme of COVID-19. The second portion of the event is a community discussion led by a panel of medical doctors and educators. Dr. Drew Weissman -- contributor to the creation of the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines -- is a special guest panelist in addition to:

  • Dr. Mary Suzanne Whitworth, Head of Infectious Diseases at Cook Children’s Hospital
  • Dr. Mohanakrishnan “Mo” Sathyamoorthy, Cardiologist within TCU School of Medicine
  • Dr. Claudia Perez, Neurologist within TCU School of Medicine
  • Dr. Glenda Daniels, Nurse within Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences
