TCU Online: Using Panopto to Streamline Student Video Assignments

Do you want to create video mini-lectures, tutorials, or reviews for your students? Do you want your students to create robust videos for a class assignment? Whether you are wanting to completely flip your class, or are looking to enhance your teaching with videos, Panopto is a one-stop-shop for recording, editing, organizing, and sharing videos in TCU Online.

In this workshop, you will learn how to use Panopto to allow students to create videos using their own computer or mobile device, and then directly upload them to a folder integrated in TCU Online. Students can then submit their video for grading through the TCU Online Assignments or Discussions tool.

By the end of this workshop, you will know how to:

  • Download and use the Panopto mobile app.
  • Create a Panopto recordings link in TCU Online.
  • Create a student submission folder in Panopto.
  • Access and import student support material into your course.

This workshop meets Koehler Center outcomes 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3.
