 onky-Tonk. Her freelance articles have appeared in Americana Rhythm\, Aust
 in Monthly\, Cowgirl\, Creative Screenwriting\, Texas Highways\, and forme
 r Third Coast magazines. Early in her career\, she worked nine years as a 
 newspaper reporter covering general assignment\, entertainment\, and crime
  beats at three Texas daily newspapers\, including The El Paso Herald-Post
 \, The El Paso Times\, and The Amarillo Globe-News. Miller also taught sec
 ondary-level journalism courses for 24 years in several school districts b
 efore retiring from teaching in 2013. Currently\, she is collaborating wit
 h film producer Cynthia Uhrich to write a television series adaptation of 
 Texas Secessionists Standoff. A book signing will follow the talk.
