The TCU Office of Extended Education invites you to attend the Faculty Favorite Lecture Series, The Evolution of Broadway in 90 Minutes with Dr. Corey Trahan, on September 22, 2025, from 6:30pm to 8:00 pm at TCU. Tickets are free, but you must register to attend.

Session Descritption:

Broadway Musicals span decades of musical history and have gifted the world with melodies that even a novice musician can recognize.  Within 90 minutes, we will explore Broadway's birth, multiple reinventions and discuss current trends.  The discussion will be interspersed with video footage from historical performances, audio recordings of iconic Broadway singers and production anecdotes.  A highlight of this experience will be live performances of past and present Broadway tunes by several of our TCU School of Music vocalists.
