About this Event
View mapThe Art Galleries at TCU are pleased to present TTL PC, featuring the work of MFA Candidate Mckee Frazior. TTL PC will be on view at Moudy Gallery from February 28 - March 5, 2025, with an opening reception on Friday, February 28th, from 5-7 pm.
TTL PC explores the ubiquity and mundanity of the internet through QR codes, inviting the audience to reflect on how simple digital interactions shape our consumption of information, often unnoticed and unexamined.
In anticipation for his exhibition, Frazior invites viewers to participate in Invitation to an Archive, an experiment in encapsulating this cycle and allowing it to live on as an archive on the internet. Frazior says, "the lifecycle of art shows is somewhat broken. The amount of resources (work, money, time, sanity) that goes into the typical 2-year cycle of Solo Shows moves nowhere near the speed of today's culture...Early on in my thesis, I knew I wouldn't be creating objects that easily enter the world of commerce. They exist somewhere between experience and game. The objects that arise are merely prisms to view and lens an idea best expressed through an experience as a hybrid form or a piece of hypermedia."
