Muna, a woman living in the Occupied West Bank, wins the visa lottery to bring her family to the United States. Set in the first months of the US invasion of Iraq, Muna must navigate living in a new country and the racism she encounters. This family dramedy explores life for Arabs in the United States during the War on Terror. Join Professors Hanan Hammad and Randa Tawil to talk about Arab American feminisms, race in post-9/11 America, and immigration.
