As AI becomes more advanced, faculty teaching writing-intensive courses face new challenges and opportunities. This workshop addresses common concerns about AI's impact on student writing and explores strategies for maintaining academic integrity, enhancing critical thinking, and promoting original student work. Faculty will examine potential pitfalls of AI in writing assignments, learn ways to craft assignments that either discourage misuse or integrate AI meaningfully, and discover tools (including PowerNotes) to help students develop authentic writing skills.
